Thalassemia Patients Advocacy Group (a patient wing of Thalassemics India) was officially launched by the Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi, Sh.Manish Sisodia in September 2017.

2017

Thalassemics India is appointed by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India to coordinate the 'Thalassemia Bal Sewa Yojna' project under which Thalassemia Major and Aplastic Anaemia  patients are given financial assistance up to Rs.10 lakhs  per transplant from Coal India Limited  under their CSR initiative.

IAP acknowledged the services rendered by Mrs. Shobha Tuli to alleviate the suffering of children in the country by giving a 'Token of Thanks' Award in 2014.

1999

'George Englezos Award' bestowed by Thalassaemia International Federation, Cyprus in 1999 to Shobha Tuli for the services provided in the field of Thalassemia in India.

State Award given to Thalassemics India in 1998 by Department of Social Welfare, Govt. of NCT of Delhi in recognition of the work done in the field of Thalassemia.

The ‘1st International Thalassemia Conference’ held in collaboration with Sir Ganga Ram Hospital under the aegis of WHO followed by six more International conferences on Thalassemia.

Thalassemics India became the voting  member of  Thalassaemia International Federation in 1994. Mrs. Shobha Tuli, is a member of Board of Directors of Thalassaemia International Federation currently holding the position of Vice-President on TIF's Board.

Thalassemics India.

Thalassemics India, the first NGO for Thalassemia  established in 1987 in India, celebrated its 35th year anniversary on 25th March,2023 at Hotel Le Meridian New Delhi. The event witnessed a historic journey of Thalassemics India gracing the theme “LAKSH” highlighting the mission of “Sampoorn Chikitsa” and “ Thalassemia Mukt Bharat”.
